Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Pray with me as I seek the Lord's wisdom and discernment about starting the first home group with our students at Lamar. Ask God to raise up a core team of people from my church who will catch the vision and take on the mantle of leadership. Pray that He would use home group as a launching pad for deeper spiritual conversations and truth discovery with people of peace!
  • For Y. In Shanghai who is struggling with despair and has heard the gospel but is afraid to commit to the Lord. I pray Lord that you would reveal yourself to her in a powerful mighty way! Deliver her from her darkness & give her true hope in You! Our eyes are on You! You alone can save!
  • Praise for some small answers to prayer for our welcome party at Florida Polytechnic! But continued prayer for more volunteers and someone to truly commit to the vision of this work in Lakeland and be willing to take responsibility for the local ministry! We praise you God for what you are doing even when we cannot see!
  • Pray for A a student who is experiencing great success in her studies and career. May she see that it is empty and that only Christ can bring fulfillment and true joy. Only in Christ will she recognize her value.
  • Pray that our weekly ISI Regional Prayer times will be Spirit-filled times of both delight in His Presence as well as impassioned prayer for the students and each other.
  • Pray for wisdom & God's clear orchestrating as my wife and I hope to facilitate a 10-week Soul Care group with our ISM partners. Pray that we will see God work mightily in this group as we get started in September. Pray that we will have at least 3 men and 3 women join us.

Praise God, we had a Soul Care group with staff, volunteers and students last school year and it was a very powerful and freeing experience for our team. May the Lord richly bless your team this fall as they come together around the Soul Care teaching and go deeper with the Lord.

  • I've been praying that the Lord would bring an opening to meet internationals at their Orientation at the University of Denver. I emailed the new Director and she said they cannot open it up this year, but is willing to let me know if they decide later to have a Resource Fair. Pray for more opening on this rather hostile campus.

May the Lord bring open doors and a changed heart in this new Director! Praying with you and believing with you for breakthrough on this campus!

Thank you all for praying with me. This encourages me. I’m praying for creative ways to see the students…even if it means having a free lemonade stand across the street but don’t want to offend the director or have my actions be misunderstood. Let me know if our Lord gives you some helpful ideas.
        Praising Him in the waiting…

  • Pray for a team meeting to be held on Aug. 14 by the Stevens Institute of Technology ministry team. We have new staff and volunteers, so pray this will be a great kick-off event for building a spirit of unity on the team, paving the way for a blessed and fruitful year of ministry.

Praying with you and Psalm 133 came to mind to pray over this new team!

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”

  • Please pray for our Warm Welcome on August 12th at Arizona State. We anticipate several hundred new international students and a few dozen volunteers. Pray for logistics and for connections to be made between the students, volunteers, and various ISM groups involved. Praise that the university is paying for all of the food.

We were praying for your Warm Welcome event tonight during the Zoom Worship and Prayer time. It is so awesome that we can be praying for each other as a staff family from coast-to-coast. Praying now for awesome follow up and lasting relationships to be forged with record numbers of students. To God be the glory for all He is doing among us!

  • Pray for various students who are going through tough times that we, Joe & Sheryl Goll, know – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Especially a Chinese gal who has tumors on her spine.
  • Wisdom as we, Joe & Sheryl Goll, relate to the new students that come to MCC (Mesa Community College) under the CCI program. They are not receiving adequate help & attention. They are very responsive to us, but the rules have changed, and we need wisdom as we move forward.
  • Wisdom as we, Joe & Sheryl Goll, work with internationals at Mesa Community College. The new international director, who is Muslim, is not as open to us as we had hoped. Pray the Lord will fully open the door.
  • Pray for Divine appointments for relationship building, sharing the Gospel, & discipleship for us, Joe & Sheryl Goll, as well as ISI staff and volunteers.
  • Pray for wisdom as Golls try to balance responsibilities between MCC, ASU, & returnees.
  • Pray for our Phx team for Divine protection over all we say & do. Pray for spiritual, emotional, and physical health The battle is real!
