Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Proverbs 10:11 "The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life..." Lord, may the words of our mouth be fountains of life to those we interact with daily...at home, with students, with co-workers, at church, at work.
  • Lord, grant each of us faith to embrace your call to expand our tents (Isaiah 54) and show us what that means in each of our local settings. Give us sensitivity and obedient hearts as we seek to listen to the Holy Spirit in the weeks and months ahead.
  • Pray for God's provision of drivers for taking new students shopping on August 27, for effective advertising among new students, for a great turn out, and for many of these students to come to our Welcome Party on Sept 2, and then to start getting connected to us weekly or more.
  • Praise God that we have secured a venue for our Welcome Party on Sept. 2. Pray for God's leading as we work out all of the logistics of getting food, advertising, volunteers, registration, etc. Ask God to raise up a good group of new students to come to our Welcome Party. Thanks.
  • Pray with me as I seek the Lord's wisdom and discernment about starting the first home group with our students at Lamar. Ask God to raise up a core team of people from my church who will catch the vision and take on the mantle of leadership. Pray that He would use home group as a launching pad for deeper spiritual conversations and truth discovery with people of peace!
  • For Y. In Shanghai who is struggling with despair and has heard the gospel but is afraid to commit to the Lord. I pray Lord that you would reveal yourself to her in a powerful mighty way! Deliver her from her darkness & give her true hope in You! Our eyes are on You! You alone can save!
  • Praise for some small answers to prayer for our welcome party at Florida Polytechnic! But continued prayer for more volunteers and someone to truly commit to the vision of this work in Lakeland and be willing to take responsibility for the local ministry! We praise you God for what you are doing even when we cannot see!
  • Pray for A a student who is experiencing great success in her studies and career. May she see that it is empty and that only Christ can bring fulfillment and true joy. Only in Christ will she recognize her value.
  • Pray that our weekly ISI Regional Prayer times will be Spirit-filled times of both delight in His Presence as well as impassioned prayer for the students and each other.
  • Pray for wisdom & God's clear orchestrating as my wife and I hope to facilitate a 10-week Soul Care group with our ISM partners. Pray that we will see God work mightily in this group as we get started in September. Pray that we will have at least 3 men and 3 women join us.
  • I've been praying that the Lord would bring an opening to meet internationals at their Orientation at the University of Denver. I emailed the new Director and she said they cannot open it up this year, but is willing to let me know if they decide later to have a Resource Fair. Pray for more opening on this rather hostile campus.
  • Pray for a team meeting to be held on Aug. 14 by the Stevens Institute of Technology ministry team. We have new staff and volunteers, so pray this will be a great kick-off event for building a spirit of unity on the team, paving the way for a blessed and fruitful year of ministry.
  • Please pray for our Warm Welcome on August 12th at Arizona State. We anticipate several hundred new international students and a few dozen volunteers. Pray for logistics and for connections to be made between the students, volunteers, and various ISM groups involved. Praise that the university is paying for all of the food.
  • Pray for various students who are going through tough times that we, Joe & Sheryl Goll, know – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Especially a Chinese gal who has tumors on her spine.
  • Wisdom as we, Joe & Sheryl Goll, relate to the new students that come to MCC (Mesa Community College) under the CCI program. They are not receiving adequate help & attention. They are very responsive to us, but the rules have changed, and we need wisdom as we move forward.
