Public Prayer: Please lift up all the ISI prayer teams. May God’s Spirit within us lead us to intercede according to his will and his heart and invite his presence in all things. May we be faithful to listen for God’s voice with intercessions and opportunities to be a blessing—especially with this week of united prayer August 6-13th and 40 Days of Prayer for many to come.
We also lift up this personalized scripture prayer: But thanks be to you, God, who in yourself, Christ, always lead us ISI staff and volunteers in triumphal procession, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of you. For we are your aroma, Christ to God, among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one the fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things, Lord? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of your word, God, but as people of sincerity, as commissioned by yourself, in your sight we speak in you, Christ (from 2 Corinthians 2:14-17).
