Praying the Promises of Scripture – Isaiah 54:2-4

The promises of God in Scripture often become the fuel for our prayer lives. ISI has been praying over the promises in Isaiah 54:2-4. I was moved to combine highlights from two different translations of this passage to inspire my prayers. I hope what you read below will stir your prayers for ISM as we move into the New Year.

Isaiah 54:2-4 Increase is coming, (God says so!) so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. (Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big!) Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger. You will increase and spread out in every direction. Your sons and daughters will (take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back you’re not going to come up short.)
