Have Faith to Obey

I am so very thankful for how God has grown me over the past year in obedience and listening to His inner promptings. This 24/7 prayer effort is one of those occasions that I am thankful for His faith working in me. It all began as I listened to Tim Sigman share a very challenging and encouraging message at our Rocky Mountain Plains regional retreat. As Tim shared his vision for 24/7 prayer, God was speaking to my inner soul about pursuing this for ISI and International Student Ministry. I heard him clearly say, “bring this to Roy Yabuki, our regional director, and share with him what I am sharing with you.”

My first thought was, “no God, this is too big and I do not know how to do this.” But after five days of praying, considering and trying to think of all the reasons a 24/7 prayer effort would NOT work, I called Roy. Roy’s response, “let’s call Tim”. Also, Roy had just received an email that day from another staff member saying  similar things. We began to talk to others, talk to leadership and we found many people throughout ISI and ISM in general were on board.

We began to move forward with plans and found God was already going before us at every need and every step. Praise God!! We cannot wait to see what God is going to do through this 24/7 prayer effort. I know God has taught me to trust His promptings, have faith and move out in obedience. I encourage us all to live by faith and not by sight and trust God for the supernatural things that only He can accomplish.

Looking forward to praying with you January 9-16 and as God speaks, I encourage you to obey, you never know how God is ahead of you making His way possible!

  1. Ron all I can say to this is AMEN!

Trust and Obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.
