Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Please pray with me for the Lord's abundant provision for one of our Christian Nigerian students. She has not yet paid for her tuition for last semester and is $6K short! If she's not able to pay it within the next week or two then she won't be able to register for this semester which started today! God is using Ri in amazing ways and has strategically placed her in two jobs where she works with all incoming and returning students. She is also one of our student leaders here in Colorado Springs!
  • Pray for current and new volunteers to prioritize International student ministry in their already busy schedules. Also pray for local church vision for ISM and to participate and take leadership in the Lakeland work.
  • Pray for God to bring new staff and/or volunteer leadership to Lakeland to replace me as I transition to a new status soon.
  • Pray for salvation of key students at Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, FL. Pray for the Spirit to be poured out on all 3 ministries at work on that campus to be bold in presenting the Gospel clearly and winsomely to students.
  • Give thanks that the Philadelphia Ministry has completely outgrown the Newbranders home, The House for all Nations. Pray for the Newbrander’s as they prepare the home to sell, as it is too much house for them now that it is not a ministry hub. Pray that believers would buy the house and continue being salt and light in this neighborhood. Pray that the Lord would strategically locate the Newbranders in a downsized home for continued ministry with internationals. Thank the Lord for this miracle home. Pray that we this year we would specifically see fruit from the many seeds that we have sown in Philadelphia. Pray for breakthroughs especially with Indian students.
  • Pray that the snow predicted for Friday is orchestrated by the Lord not to interfere with our first back to Friday night get together. Pray that students will clearly hear the gospel this semester and respond. Pray for two back to back ISM conferences in March in Philadelphia, that the Lord will restore and refresh and renew ISM workers both in Isi and in the region. Thanks for the generosity of a supporting church, local partnering churches and a number of donors who are helping underwrite a number of costs for the conference, so that it is affordable for more people.
  • Pray that the Lord will raise up a new city Director, for New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. Praise God for amazing healing, far faster than the doctors anticipated, for Tim Newbrander after major cardiac surgery. Praise for a wonderful partnership with several local churches and Bridges staff, including many students who went to the vision conference sponsored by Bridges.
  • For a volunteer's great granddaughter to be placed in Christ filled home soon.
  • Pray for the 9,000 int'l students from 125 countries at Rutgers University. Pray for the part-time staff and min rep at Rutgers to be fully funded and that they would have what they need to lead and invest in students. Pray for people of peace and leaders to be raised up to reach and disciple students. Pray against the spiritual darkness on that campus.
  • Please pray for M and H, dear friends from Iran. Pray that God would astound them with His wonder and that they would see their need for Christ and come to know Him. Pray for Amaya, Ankit, Nic, Steven, Stoiche, Silvia, Hazma, Orie, Anne, Nihon, Shengkai to come to know Him.
  • Tim Sigman - Director of Prayer Initiatives - Pray for new staff to be raised up in key locations across the nation. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to bring forth laborers for His harvest among international students.
  • Tim Sigman - Director of Prayer Initiatives - Pray for the protection of our ISI staff and extended family members in light of more spiritual warfare. Healing for staff who have had major health challenges.
  • Tim Sigman - Director of Prayer Initiatives - Pray for the Collegiate Day of Prayer on Feb. 29th to be hosted at Baylor University. Asking the Lord to bring revival to the Baylor campus and the town of Waco. About 100 pastors and ministry leaders are meeting for prayer each month in Waco leading up to the CDOP. Lord pour out your Holy Spirit on the Baylor campus and bring a great revival to this whole area. We ask in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
  • Tim Sigman - Director of Prayer Initiatives - Pray that many of our local ISI teams will have 40 Days of Prayer after this Week of 24/7 Prayer. Pray that teams who have never done 40 Days of Prayer will reach out for help and take the step this semester to have this extended season of praying together for their local ministry and team.
  • Public Request: Ask God for a new Friendship Partner Coordinator for ISI, KCwho can connect American volunteers with international students and scholars. Pray for God to stir the heart of a woman to lead the restarting of the International Wives Connection (IWC) and at least 4-6 other women to serve with her. Pray for volunteers and staff to be intentional and generous reaching out to new students who are arriving this coming semester and to reconnect with old friends. May blessings be poured out as those who are hungry are fed, the thirsty given drink, and strangers are welcomed—just as Jesus commanded (Matt 25:35) and may his love to be seen in us and for one another as a testimony (Jn 13:35).
