  • For our Lakeland IWC meeting on "God is love." and our Picnic in the Park this Saturday that Your presence would be felt there by all! Thank you, Lord, for some new possible volunteers that are checking us out and for such a faithful team of partners that have been reaching out to our students here for many years through friendship, events and now supper clubs! Let Your Kingdom come, Your will be done! Amen
  • Lord, I also ask you for K (Palestine) with whom I am to have a discussion this Thursday. I have been studying and preparing to answer his questions about the "contradictions" in the Bible, so Lord, help me to not just to satisfy his questions, but to point him the deeper issues of who Jesus really is and why it matters. K seems to be someone who is earnestly trying to please God & is very respectful of my faith - Lord, open his heart to you. Guide every thought and word that comes out of my mouth that You may be lifted up and draw him to YOu!
  • Lord, I pray for my time with Z from Iran tomorrow - Thank you that she is doing some searching on her own that has led to good conversations recently after many long years of friendship. Open her heart to the Gospel; give her a passionate hunger for the Truth and a yearning to be assured of her salvation! Guide our conversation as we go to the Norman Rockwell exhibit and have coffee. Bring her husband to know you too and her dear children who are so earnestly trying to do what is right by their standards! Have mercy on them and grant them repentance and faith.
  • Lord, we come to you as Lord of the Harvest - how we need laborers!! All over ISI!! We need fresh volunteers, we need donor partners, we need new young staff to relieve those who have given all their lives to serving, but are getting old now and need rest. Help us all to keep the vision alive to reach all the international students with the Gospel and to not give up or get tired!. Help us to "work from a place of rest", to abide in You and let Your Spirit flow through us. Lord, I pray especially for our Lakeland area that you would raise up new leadership there - whether it is staff or a committed volunteer or a church partner. Thank you for the three churches that are already involved with us, but not yet taking leadership - The Lakes, Redemption & The King's Church.. Give me wisdom as navigate this transition so that the work may continue to flourish and have an open door there!
  • Lord, I praise you that you have blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places IN CHRIST!! You have given us everything we need both personally and in our ministries! We praise you and thank you for your goodness in providing for us in this complete way. Thank you, Lord, also for the great privilege and responsibility you have given us in ISI because "we know what it is to fear you: to be ambassadors for You, to "try to persuade others". "For Your love, oh Father, Son & Holy Spirit, compels us [to work steadily & earnestly, with all our minds, strengths & creativity at the ministries that YOU have called us to "be ambassadors for Christ"] because we are convinced that Jesus died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live [us & all believers] should live no longer for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again...ALL this is from God who reconciled us to Himself [oh, Hallelujah!] through Christ and gave is the ministry of reconciliation...." Thank you for this great privilege! Oh Lord, we cannot do it without You! Teach us to completely rely on You in all things that Your will might be done and Your beautiful Name glorified among the nations that we are called to work amongst - international students from everywhere!!! Empower us by Your Spirit ,through Your Son O Holy Father!! We love you and give all the glory! We long for Your appearing, for You to come to make all things right to the praise of Your glorious grace!!
  • Pray for two meetings next week with potential volunteers - on the pastor and the other a small goup all the same church. Pray for vision, clarity and a renewed passion for local missions, but to the world at their door! Pray for God's direction and provision for our need there.
  • Pray for our Lakeland team as we try something new and creative using a YouVersion devotional as a basis to pray together by text for the next 7 weeks. Pray that team members will commit to it and take advantage of this new technology to be faithful in prayer. Pray for us all to "be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer."
  • Pray for the new semester as it begins - rapport & connection with new students at FL Poly; good beginnings for Supper Clubs. Continue to pray for new leadership for ISI Lakeland - either new staff or local church ownership - pray for a vision to reach the nations in Lakeland!
  • Pray for F, originally from Pakistan, to know that Jesus is the Lord and to have the courage to follow Him at all costs. He has been very open to exploring the Christian faith but his spiritual eyes need to be opened to know who Jesus really is - the Son of the living God, not just a prophet. Pray that the Lord Jesus will encounter him personally so that he will know the truth.

  • Pray for our prayer teams and warriers. May God’s Spirit within us to intercede according to his will and his heart and invite his presence in all things. Ask for us to have strength in Christ to be faithful to listen for God’s voice with intercessions and opportunities to be a blessing. Thank you, Jesus, for being born—given to us. Thank you for holding the government on your shoulders. We pray that our international brothers and sisters will join with us and all believers to call upon your name as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. We praise you, God, for the greatness of your government and peace have no end on the throne of David and over his kingdom. We ask with confidence that you establish and uphold the kingdom with justice and with righteousness—from this time forth and forevermore. Fulfill your promise, O Lord of hosts, that your zeal will do this. (Is 9:6-7).
