  • The email prayer request below is from Joe Sabounji, retired ISI staff in his 90s. He built a strong ISI ministry in Boston through Park Street Church.--- Dear 24/7 Prayer Coordinator: Thank you for keeping me informed and updated via e-mails for praise & prayer. Sorry that I am unable to join your praying team but I do intercede His throne for you all. I am having some challenging health issues that are causing me not to get involved in live prayer. Due to medications, I am frequently falling asleep and my mind does not function properly. Thank you for praying and interceding before His Throne for my weakening case. Our Almighty God is good at all times and His Grace is enough for all challenges. May you all be blessed by Him. With love in & for Christ alone, His servant, Joe Sabounji
  • Pray that God would work in the hearts of all attending NC 2022. Asking the Lord to humble us and remind us of how big and powerful and loving He is. That He would help each of us wait on Him with increased faith that He can do seemingly impossible things as we walk into the ‘22-‘23 school year! “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:28-31‬ ‭
  • Please pray Isaiah 54:2-4 for the state of Texas. Pray through the vision God has given us to see churches and campus ministries mobilized toward ongoing disciple making movements on every college and university in Texas, Oklahoma and southern Arkansas. Pray for God to open doors in every place He sends us. Ask God to raise up laborers for His Kingdom to love and care for and make disciples on every campus in this area among international students. Lord Jesus, send more laborers into the harvest fields, campuses, for your glory and purpose.
  • Pray for ISI team member Sarah H and her husband Evan as they enter their last month of waiting to adopt the precious baby they are currently fostering. Her name is Baby S. The court hearing to finalize adoption is July 11. Pray for God to make the path straight and for His will to be done
  • Pray for the three worship teams preparing to lead the times of worship and extended prayer at the National Conference. This year the lead worshipers are fellow staff members and volunteers. They are spread out over many states and need the Lord's help as they come together to practice for the first time at the conference. Father, we ask you to come fill the praises of your people and draw us to yourself in holy awe and worship. May you receive great honor and glory as we gather to seek your face! May Jesus be lifted up in our midst and may the Holy Spirit come fill us afresh as we draw near.
  • Pray for a powerful visitation and out pouring of the Holy Spirit at the ISI National Conference June 25-29. Pray this same blessing will be poured out on international student ministries across the nation and around the world. Even now pray the Holy Spirit will be stirring within us a deeper passion for prayer.
  • Update on R1 Visas progress for several new international staff waiting for the religious workers Visa or R1 Visa so they can work for ISI. Praise "A USCIS Officer conducted a physical site visit today to the ISI Headquarters." The officer seems very positive and wants to finish the report by this Friday. Pray these Visa would be approved soon. We have new laborers ready to join the team!
  • Prayer request from Gordy Decker - ISI Director of Training Dear Praying Friends, Our shipment of 25 God's Story phones for Iran are currently being distributed in Persia. We praise God for this progress! On a separate note, I have completely lost contact for several weeks with our translator and distributor of the 25 mobile phones going to Afghanistan. He is currently working out of Pakistan. Please pray for his protection and for successful distribution of these phones as well. Thank you. Your prayers matter!
  • Update from Seng Tan - ISI President: In our opening session at ISI National Conference on Saturday 6/25 evening, I will share on our “Gilgal moment” (Joshua 4:1-7) and the 3 C’s (Commemoration, Consecration, Celebration) and explain the objective of the 12 tokens (stones) that each of us will present at the prayer-praise-worship session on Tuesday 6/28 and lay down at the foot of a cross as part of our commemoration and thanksgiving before the Lord. Alex Tovar shares example of Commemoration Token or Stone: This sounds awesome. Looking forward to seeing how God uses these times during conference to bring the ISI family closer together!! In case this helps anyone wondering what “stone” or token to bring, I’m thinking of bringing a “mocajete” (a grinding stone, actually mine is made of wood) that is used to grind down seasonings and spices. It is representative of my Guatemalan roots, but also of the period of “grinding” that the Lord took the Home Office team (and all of ISI really) during Covid and beyond. The end result of the “mocajete” or grinding process is a refined flavor and substance that is more pure. I feel the Lord continues to refine the team at the home office (and all ISMs) into a better version of ourselves thru His work in our lives. Let's all pray to this end.
  • IFI ministry in Columbus, OH had a fire that burned their ministry headquarters. See email below and please pray! Tim Sigman Dear Tim, Thank you for your care, concern, and prayers and for being willing to ask others to pray. There are so many details to be dealt with regarding the restoration from the fire. Here are some things to prayer for: 1. Endurance for our Columbus staff and National Team as they have been displaced and need to sort through papers and other items to determine what can be saved. 2. Temporary office and meeting space for operations and ministry activities. 3. Favor with the city inspectors as determinations are made with regards to repairs. 4. For God to use this to bring our team together. 5. For financial provision to deal with some losses that may not be covered by insurance. 6. For the right construction company to be able to be employed to do the restoration work. A child of the Heavenly Father, Rich Mendola - CEO International Friendships Inc.
  • Yan and Lorraine (ISI Min Reps from China in Boston) applied for Green Cards over 2 years ago. They have completed everything required, and the 2 Mass US Senators have intervened. They just received a new form to complete. Lorraine's R1 visa (working for a local church) expires May 18. After that time they would not to earn money working. It could be disastrous if they have to return to China. Please pray they will receive their Green Cards in the next 7 days. Thank you.
  • Praise God for a new live ESL Conversation class last week with 3 Chinese scholars. Pray that this will open doors for increasing ministry with them, their three kids (age 10-12) and others.
  • Pray that Jesus will make Himself known to O and her parents. Pray that she would be freed from the emotional scars from being abandoned by her husband and now that he has filed for divorce. Pray she can move on from this and focus on her own growth and building her future and come to know JESUS most of all!
