Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Pray for a Bangladeshi couple who moved from Hawaii to Minnesota. Pray for dreams and/or visions from our Lord Jesus. That God who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion
  • I would love prayers for the non-profit the Lord has laid on my heart to train sex workers in various skill sets so they have another source of income and do not have to fall to sex work to make a living. I would love prayers that God Himself would carry this vision. I would also like prayers that God would draw men and resources for this vision. Finally, I also pray for security of the participants, workers and volunteers.
  • September 6 I currently have a team of 4 to pray for the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Since we are all over age 70 we will meet in the Baptist Student Center Chapel instead of prayer walking. Please pray for more to sign up to do this on our "Church Without Walls Sunday" when our home church wants us out in our community doing acts of service. Christians, Hindus, Muslims, and Americans live in the Baptist Student Center on campus.
  • Pray for my NYC church to be open to global missions work- pray that God would open doors for me there in His time and way. I believe they could be effective in reaching students from India.
  • ISI Solomon & Ruby Kendagor will fly to Togo, Africa August 12 and do ministry there until September 3. Pray for journey mercies, divine health, 2 hours rest for every 1 hour of sleep, excellent translators, & divine appointments. May they bring blessings to their former students who arranged their ministry schedule to 200 pastors and numerous schools & churches.
  • Lord, I pray that You would break through spiritual strongholds on our campuses! You know what they are even more than we do - the strongholds of false religions, the strongholds of immorality and selfishness, the strongholds of our culture and all the cultures represented and the strongholds in our own lives. Set us free, fight for us and bring the victories of salvation & transformation everywhere!

Amen. You name is Yahweh Nissi-The Lord is our Victory Banner

  • We go in faith, our own great weakness feeling, And needing more each day Thy grace to know; Yet from our hearts a song of triumph pealing; We rest on Thee and in Thy Name we go.
  • We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender; We go not forth alone against the foe; Strong in They strength, safe in Thy keeping tender, We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go.
  • LORD, this task that you have given us, to go and make disciples of all nations, is overwhelming and for each of us on our campuses as we face a new year, it would be too much except that YOU have told us that ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given You and YOU will be with us always wherever we go! Fill us with Your Holy Spirit - with Your love and wisdom, Your creativity, Your power, Your compassion, Your courage...thank you for Your promise to equip us for the task!

AMEN!!!! Anne, I love this prayer! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Yes, I agree, Mary Ann! Thank you Anne!

  • Only You can save, o LORD! But in Your mercy, You have not only saved us but invited us to be partners with you in your redemptive work in the world. Lead us to the students who are hungry for You. Create that rapport that builds trust so that they will open to hear. Help us be bold and courageous in proclaiming the Good News. Give they eyes of faith and willing hearts to believe and repent to be born again! For Your glory, LORD!!
  • Thank you, O LORD, that you are a God who pursues us! You have not left us in the darkness of our sin, but came to us in Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ! Thank you that you lifted the veil of darkness that was over our hearts so that we might see you, believe you, repent and be born again to a Living Hope! Use us, as vessels to shine this same Light into the lives of our students - help us to be faithful in the way we present the message of the Gospel so that they might be saved!
  • Please pray for wisdom and strenth for me as I am seeking the Lord in how to serve in a season of chronic illness. May I have his vison and his heart.
  • Big praises to the Lord for the EFCA’s youth conference. They gifted us more than forty high school students with their leaders! I was able to share about ISI and answer questions before the EFCA team prayed for our staff and volunteers, lifted up our international friends, and prayer walked at one of our universities. Please ask the Lord to bless those seeds, EFCA’s partnership and generosity, and ask—God willing—for some of those students to return and serve with us one day.
  • Jesus, you are holy and true, our beginning and our ending. May we hold faithfully to your promise, and proclaim with the angels: what you open, no one can close. Help us trust you. May we walk with wisdom to remember, and have listening hearts: what you close, no one can open. Help us trust you. (Inspired from Revelations 3:7).
  • Pray that God would raise up a new director for KC so that our current director can have the blessing of discipleship and move from her position into a more direct ministry role. Intercede for more staff to come on board to support our director and the ministry God has opened in Kansas City through ISI.
