Pray for the ISI team as we prepare for all the incoming students and scholars for the fall semester in KC. Ask God to provide availability and divine appointments for volunteers helping with airport pickups. May he bless the hospitality of our team and create opportunities to share about his heart.
Oh Father, we long to see you pour out your Spirit. Ignite the hearts of your children to throw of anything that hinders and to run our race with their eyes fixed on You. Pour out your Spirit on the campuses and the international students. Pour out your Spirit in our cities and countries. Pour out your Spirit and grant us (believers and not yet believers) faith to receive prophecy, see visions, dreams, healing, miracles. Advance your Kingdom, Lord, as only you can do.
Lord God, thank you for hearing our prayers. We have so many changes to navigate at our university. Help us to quickly reach the students you have for us so we can begin to love them to Jesus. We pray for the university to have wisdom from You as they make these changes. Thank you, Jesus, for how you will choose to answer.
The 4-passport call. Obviously, I have an American passport. Summner has a Chinese passport, Golriz has an Iranian passport and Julia has a Russian passport. Given the current events in our world, if we were interacting based on the color of our passport it would be a very tense conversation. Instead, we connect because each of us has a strong relationship with Jesus. The passport situation intensifies our connection as believers. Pray that these relationships will continue for years to come
Vanessa came to faith while in Austin 15+ years ago. She has been working in BJ with a company that helps people get visas etc. She will be moving to The Netherlands in September for 4 or 5 years. She is a strong believer. She needs to find a place to live ... not only and apartment but the city that best serves her needs. She will also be looking for fellowship friends and a good church. Pray for the student conferencing team as they start up their work for the new school year. Pray for God to work through the recent NGO-GO team to change their countries. Pray for the structure and resources the students need to make the vision God gave them thrive. For World Changers, pray for our staff team to find just the right students who are ready to be introduced to the idea of being world changers through their lives in Christ. For TRUE, pray for seeking students and believing leaders!
Pray for staff to become more emotionally healthy which causes a greater environment for other staff, volunteers and students to learn from each other, refine the ministry and grow. Pray for the unity that comes with that. Pray that ISI can become a means for God to help the Body grow in this regard as we collaborate with many.
Pray for our Big Howdy events at UTA. We are short on workers for several of the events. Pray for people to see the need and make space on their schedule to help. Pray also for people with specific gifts that can help the team really make this come alive and take this to another level even with smaller numbers.
