Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Pray for the six new Indian students we met last Tuesday. Pray that we'd get to see them again. Pray that we would have good attendance at an art workshop on Wednesday.
  • Pray for and older staff couple who caught COVID With complicating factors. Pray for God’s protection over them and healing. Pray that God uses this to show His kingdom through His people.
  • For a young Muslim couple from Pakistan with a new baby--that God would give them wisdom in parenting and that He would turn their hearts to Himself

  • That I would listen to God's prompting on reaching out to text students.
  • Please pray for my brother Mark and the people he is with. He needs serious spiritual protection. He and his family are now living in Singapore. Pray that he will be lead to fellowship with some really sincere believers. Sounds as though he plans to live there or Malaysia for the next few years. Please keep him prayer.
  • Please pray for my Indian friend, Rabia, who was hit by a car on New Year’s Eve while she was walking back to campus (Oklahoma State Univ) from Taco Bell. She has severe injuries that will take a lot of time and rehab to recover from. Pray that God will use this traumatic event in her life to bring about her salvation. I’m praising God that he spared her life and gave her another chance to hear the Gospel. Pray for me as I spend time with her and share Gods truth with her.
  • Apparently I have the COVID virus. Pray for health in our household of four, and for the Lord’s presence in online meetings since I am so limited
  • Pray for opportunities to connect with International Students at UT Arlington in Texas as the Univ. has gone virtual for classes all of January and some of Feb. Pray that students and volunteers can still find ways to connect safely without stigma or accusations of carelessness. Pray that God will open doors of student connection that would make up for the cancelled Big Howdy Celebration.
  • Matthew 5:10-12 (NLT)

10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,     for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. 11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

Let's join together to pray for our students who are persecuted because of their faith in Jesus. Jesus, give us compassion and wisdom in knowing how to encourage and pray for our students, many of who suffer greatly because of their faith.
  • 1) Please pray for my Approval of Religious Work Visa before my work authorization ends so that I can continue to work among International Students reaching them with the love of Christ. 2) Please pray for the provision for tuition for my wife Pranutha who will start her Ph.D. this semester at UTD

  • Pray for two students from Turkey or I should say Turkiye. It took all of Fall semester, but we made friends with them to the point where they are happy to talk to us. Pray for: Deeper conversations. Spiritual conversations. And that the two students will connect us to more students from Turkiye.
  • Please pray for my upcoming cataract (right eye) surgery on Monday, Jan 17th, at 2 PM (PST). I am also diagnosed with Macular degeneration. Thanks.
  • Pray that we will be aware of God's presence during this week of prayer throughout the days, not just when we are praying for ISM. Pray that all that we do are driven by this sense of His presence, especially as new students come and perhaps some campuses are less accessible because of Omicron COVID.
  • Mathew 9:36 - 38: "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Pray that the Lord will send a flood of new partner churches and volunteers to join this strategic ministry for His honor and glory!
