Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Please pray for two of our students who seem especially hungry for God. Pray for M, who has been studying the Bible with us for over a year now. He said he is ready to follow Jesus if he could experience God in some way! We are praying that God will make Himself known! Also, H had an experience of God at the first of the semester and has expressed interested in reading the Bible. She seems to be experiencing spiritual attack. Pray for protection and for her to fully surrender to Jesus.
  • Please pray for our family as we look for a new apartment. We found out that we can not re-sign our lease in August and are discerning God's will for next steps. We felt strongly that God led us to our neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY as there are many students around us. We also want to host gatherings in our home and our apartment is large enough to do so. Please pray God will provide something similar for us and to help us to trust and not be anxious in the waiting.
  • I'm having ankle surgery Tuesday Jan 13 (morning). Please pray for no infection, effective repair of the tendon/s and a smooth recovery (low pain), so I can hopefully get back to campus soon (with my cast/boot).
  • Let’s pray for more favorable perspective from the public regarding international people residing in the US. With ICE and the crack down on immigrants, I feel people look even at international students with sceptisism. I sense suspicion from Christians as well. May our international students experiences be more welcoming than negative as we all reach out and make meaningful connections with them.

  • Please pray that seekers would consistently come to our Friday fellowship this semester and that more Christian students would take responsibility.
  • The space our Friday night fellowship meets is convenient but doesn't meet our space needs well. I will be meeting with the director of the Mott House (owned by Christian Union) next week about possibly using their very suitable space. Pray that it might be possible .

  • going in for open heart surgery on January 21 with surgery scheduled for the 22nd. Pray for God to guide the surgical team so that the surgery is successful. Pray also for God to provide the necessary finances to cover the cost of the surgery and rehab. Lastly, pray that this event would be used to shows my international friends that God is involved in the lives of his created humans. Thanks!
