Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission.   • Pray for Kimberly Carlson, as she moves to Tokyo sometime this fall—for visa, funding, apartment, etc. and for wisdom in next steps for the fulfillment of her "Plant Japan vision" of partnering with church planters to plant churches near the train stations of her returnees.
  • Staff raising support in the current economic context; a way for money to flow from China to Chinese staff in PD; Amber Carpenter, ISI staff in Sacramento, as she seeks to raise her support to full-time in anticipation of my (Jeff Townsend) moving into sr. status in fall 2024; future plans for how best to do New Staff Orientation.
  • Pray for new staff: a new NYC Area Director, M*slim Ministry Director, New York City Mobilizer, and Queens Area Director. (public is fine)
  • Pray for new training pathway roll out and all that is involved. (public is fine)
  • From Tim Sigman; Pray for Muslim background student we helped to baptize this summer in the Mediterranean Sea. Pray her whole family will come to Christ. Her sister has already become a follower of Jesus and mom and dad are now wanting to be baptized. Pray for protection as she is in a very difficult nation.
  • From Andy Pearce; For my building of relationships with leaders of church-based international student ministries in areas without ISI staff, especially in the 15 states with no ISI staff or ministry representatives.
  • From Andy Pearce; For finalization of the details for the first ISI/ACMI conference for churches already involved in international student ministry. The conference will be October 13-14 in Birmingham, AL. The main focus will be equipping for ministry with Indian students.
  • From Andy Pearce; For safe and smooth travel July 31-August 7 and encouraging visits with five returnee families and five individuals in Tokyo, Yokohama, Hamamatsu, Nagoya, and Osaka.
  • Lord we pray that You will draw many to be apart of this Week of 24/7 Prayer. Help us to see the whole week filled with nonstop prayer rising from your people. Enable us Holy Spirit to pray being led by You and fill us so we may be praying in the Spirit. Father cover us in your full armor so we can stand firm in prayer and see spiritual breakthroughs as we call upon You in Jesus mighty name.
  • Please pray for Roma seeker from Pakastan for healing from possible brain tumor. She had abnormal CT and has two doctor appt this week. She returns to Pakistan in a week. Asking God’s mercy and touch, body, soul, and spirit.
  • Please pray for all welcome events for new international students for this semester. Pray that we find students of peace. We pray for the Holy Spirit to touch their hearts for Jesus!
  • Pray for the 64 Afghan girls matched with staff and Friendship Partners a year ago. Many other 'voices' call for their attention. Pray for their spiritual eyes to be opened to the Truth.
  • For our Tampa team: wisdom and unity as we seek God's direction in growing the on-campus ministry at University of South Florida. Continued favor with the International Student office; develop ways to meet more students on campus and effectively incorporate volunteers and new staff. We are thankful for Ryan and Caroline Geer! Please pray for their PD - that they would be blessed with Your provisions.
  • Thank you, Father God, for bringing Christian students into our midst. Please help us to encourage / disciple them well with wisdom and discernment. Thank you for Terry as he leads our M:28 study. Please bless these graduate students with good results in their studies and projects. Assure them of Your great love and provision for them. For those who have yet to make a commitment to follow You Jesus, we pray for their hearts to be overwhelmed by Your presence. We also ask for healing for their families and loved ones in China dealing with the recent spread of COVID. May You Father God be praised as Healer.
  • Praying for the Lord to bring others with a passion for prayer to help serve with the growing 24/7 prayer movement in ISI. Lord speak to those you want to be involved and give them the faith to say YES to You.
