Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

Pray that as Lyn teaches several Prospective Courses this fall that I will have the opportunity to talk with several people about opportunities to serve international students.
  • Pray for God's favor and for divine appointments as we seek to meet new international students during NSO and that we will be able to serve many of them through our shopping trips (Aug.27), our Welcome Party (Sept 2) and our Furniture Giveaway (Sept 3). May God provide us with a strong new group of students who are spiritually open and begin to participate in our weekly Friday Night Connection.

  • Pray for Sheldon Jantz (ISI National Office Team) and his wife Pam in a very unexpected death in their family. Also pray for Kimberly Daniel Colorado Springs City Director who lost her dad a few weeks ago. Pray for God's comfort and grace for all who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
  • Praise God that all the R1 Visas we were praying for have now come through. AJ and Laura from Brazil got their Visas a few days ago. God is opening a new door for our former students to join the ISI family as full-time staff. Please pray for all these new staff members to be able to see all their funding come in quickly.
  • Pray that all of us, from home office staff, field staff, international staff, the leadership team be walking in the Spirit, keeping in step with the Spirit so that even as we are often stretched thin with the large number of needs and opportunities, that we walk in unity as one in our diversity (of gifts, thought, styles, scope, experiences, etc.). Even when we disagree, that we can rumble with vulnerability so that students can see how special the Body of Christ is "even when hard pressed, perplexed, persecuted, struck down, carrying the Body of Christ in his death so that the world can see the life of Christ lived out in our bodies." ( paraphrase 2 Corinthians 4:8-10)
  • Pray for favor with university officials all over the country. Pray that we can be wise about finding those no matter what department or role they are in at those universities to open up doors to meet and touch international students this year. Help us to be flexible in our methods but unmoving in our mission and values which will be critical in changing times like these. Pray for workers for the harvest both at a staff level and volunteers. Pray that God puts us in places where we an find those who he has pre-disposed to ministry to international students.
