Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Pray for someone to take over the ministry here in Austin. Most of my ministry is now by Zoom to returnees in China. More and more are "phasing out" as a result to governmental pressure. Please pray for Dotty; and I as we go through personal issues resulting in our having to "phase out" of the ministry.

  • Pray for my Kuwaiti friend. Very rough family relationship and, her dad is in ICU in London. Went to see the family and was uncertain how they would receive her. Pray for healing and for her to seek Jesus.
  • Thanks to God for a great furniture give away and about 50 students came! Pray for Mike's truck that broke down after and my computer broke down this week.. pray for a good choice of a new one.
  • Praise God for a great turnout for our first Home Goods Giveaway. A wonderful supporting church (bless them and their continued outreach to the students, Lord!) and lots of nice gifts (including homemade lap quilts) for the students. We grieve there were fewer students this year with all the political turmoil but pray for seeds of friendship and peace to grow from this event. May conversations lead to our Lord Jesus - the best and greatest of all gifts as I was reminded today.
  • Lord Jesus, in your tender mercy, you visited us from on high—the dayspring, the sunrise, and our bright morning star. Please help us share your light with our international friends who sit in darkness and death’s shadow. Guide our paths in your way of peace. (inspired from Luke 1:78-79).
  • Pray for Hari Priya, Vishal, Chenghan, Yun, and all the new students we shall meet this year for their salvation. Pray for Christian students Nissi, Albene, Grace, Keren and Tim that you will bless their studies, deepen their faith and knowledge and love for you, increase their joy and make them useful in your kingdom. Help me to mentor them well.
  • That the visit of Rojin and her father to our home Nov 1-4 will be enjoyable, protected and fruitful. Lord, guide our conversations and activities. This occurs right after the expected birth of our new granddaughter, so help us to balance our family needs and be hospitable to our guests. Lord, we ask for the safe delivery for baby and our daughter and that this new life will be a blessing for the whole family for your glory!

Amen, pray that the Lord propmts her to start reading the Farsi Bible I just gave her .

  • For blossoming of the new prayer movement in our ISI headquarters city and revival in Colorado Springs. Praise for the opportunity to connect with new students at UCCS at Orientation on Wed. Pray that all of them (fewer numbers this semester) will be blessed coming to the Welcome Party on Sat, 8/23.
  • Refreshment and healing in the Lord for the ISI Front Range team and for additional new staff to be drawn by the Holy Spirit to serve this area.
  • (1/3) For Monterey Ca: Connecting with new students arriving, contacts are lower than usual so far.
  • (2/3) Pray for more local Christians to befriend students while they’re here. And especially for God to prepare and equip a new generation of ISI leaders for Monterey.
  • (3/3) Pray that students will seek God amid intense pressures with their graduate degree programs. And for student’s hearts to respond to Jesus’ transforming love and forgiveness.
  • LORD, I pray that You would work in the hearts of all ISI volunteer partners everywhere that they would make this ministry a priority in their lives, as YOU lead them. Help them to see the urgency, the brief window that we have. Fill them with Your compassion so that they will commit to being available to the students, and even to the ministry meetings so that everyone can see the vision, plan & commit accordingly. We need passionate servants who are willing to make this a priority!
