Pray for David and Beth's overseas trip to Europe February 9 - March 10, which includes visiting staff and Overseas Associates in Germany, Belgium, and Scotland, follwoing up with the team in Milan, Italy that worked with Joey Sforza during his ministry trip there last July, and exploring ministry opportunities in Debrecen, Hungary (through connection with a returnee).
Tim Sigman - ISI Director of Prayer Initiatives: Please pray for Iran. Millions of people have been protesting against the government in the streets for 13 days. Pray that this current repressive government will be removed and God will raise up a good government for the people Iran. That the work of God will expand in Iran in a powerful way. Protection for our friend headed there soon.
Praise God for the successful Japan ISM summit held in Tokyo in November (co-organized by Yvonne Choo) with 50 attending from multiple organizations. Pray for momentum to continue to build frim this event, resulting in more ISM workers and more fruitful ministry among international students un Japan, of which there are now more than 300,000.
Pray for the new ministry we are helping to get started in the Republic of Congo. They hosted their first student event at their new ministry center / office in Pointe Noir in October and followed that up with a Christmas event in December with 45 attending from 5 or 6 African countries. Pray for the establishment of regular ministrty programs, for financial provision to enable long-term sustainability, and for the newer branch in Brazzaville to make steps to get started.
Kgomotsi, a returnee from the Lincoln, Nebraska ministry, is starting a mnistry at the University of Botswana and plans to start a weekly Friday night Bible study this semester. She is also finishing modules to become an Overseas Associate. Pray for wisdom and strength and for favor with students as she begins this ministry.
Alex Tovar - ISI Director of Operations: Financial Provision - Giving trends for ISMs has slowed in part due to high visibility of immigration policy changes in the US. Please pray for God’s faithful provision for missions agencies working with international students and other immigrant communities.
Alex Tovar - ISI Director of Operations: 1) Health Challenges - Multiple ISI home office team members are navigating health challenges either for themselves or for parents and loved ones. Please pray for God’s healing hand. 2) ISI Tokyo Conference - Please pray for ISI’s Tokyo Conference in June 2026. Pray for provision, speakers, volunteers and ministry partners who will be joining the event.
Alex Tovar - ISI Director of Operations: 1) H1B Visa Filing - ISI is filing an H1B visa application for a key employee in the next few days. Please pray for God’s will and for favor at USCIS when they review the case. 2) Staff Accountant @ Home Office - ISI is needing to hire a staff accountant at our home office in Colorado Springs. Pray God sends us the right candidate.
For TB to turn to Jesus - over 10 years of outreach and love and she still can't believe that Jesus could be the Son of God. Pray for breakthrough of this spiritual stronghold and blinder.
Holy Spirit, we thank you that Valeria and your church have poured into TB for more than ten years. Please open her eyes and bring her from darkness to light. Break spritual strongholds in the powerful name of Jesus and any hindrance that keeps her from the knowledge of your truth.
