Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • Pray for a former student, A, who claimed Christanity while a student with us, but now tells me it was only intellectual and he is full of doubts. He is interested in the book, Case for Faith, and has said he will read it.
  • Pray for the spiritual fire and faith of our African friends to influence America, fuel revival.
  • Pray for Kelly to have fruitful witness opportunities to her family members who are Taoists and Buddhists. She will be visiting them until early February. Pray for breakthroughs.
  • Pray for S, a passionate 1 yr old believer from Iran, to pass the bar exam this next month.
  • Posted by Tim Sigman - Director of Prayer Initiatives - Prayer requests from Alex Tovar ISI Director of Operations at ISI National Office - Five years ago God gave a fresh vision to ISI from Is. 54:2-3 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities." God has been about fulfilling this vision. 1)Praise God we just finished our 21st audit in a row ending the year in the black. God's provision has been amazing! 2)Some smaller ISM groups have approached ISI with the idea of merging with ISI. Still a work in process but maybe part of enlarging the tent. Ask the Lord for wisdom if this is part of His plan and purpose for ISI and the other ministries. 3)We now have nine R1 Visa staff with two more wanting to apply. Praying for an additional lawyer to help with this added work load of the application process. Our current lawyer does great work but is not able to take on more at this time. Lord give us just the right lawyer to help us with future R1 Visas. 4)We have several Foundations requesting that we submit applications for future funding. Pray we can finish these applications and they will be a approved. 5) Seeking the Lord's wisdom about when to add new staff at the National Office and direction about who to hire. Thank you for praying for our National Office Team.
  • Please pray for four students who have shown interest in Bible discovery, that we will be able to coordinate a time to meet and discover his word together.
  • Please be praying for one of our former students who has returned to his home country. *A has heard the Gospel many times, but there has seemingly been no softening in his heart. Lift up him and the transition home, family relations, job provision, but most importantly -- that the seeds on Jesus' good news will bear fruit. May he come to know him as Lord and have believers around him to disciple him.
  • I Pray for Grace to finish strong and Graduate in May and to get a Job before I Graduate.
  • For encouragement and protection for a former student doing ministry in a challenging and dangerous part of the world for about a month and a half. Pray for smooth travel, God-appointed and fruitful meetings, good health for him and also his family while he's away.
  • In one of my prayer slots I was moved to pray for Gen Z. Praying that we older generations would be like the four friends tearing back the roof for the paralytic. Working to see them encounter Jesus, and be healed (from mental illness and spiritual apathy and darkness).
  • Please pray for A-R, an Iranian recent graduate, who's been doing Bible study with NYU staff off and on for 6 years. He's now questioning faith in general, not just Islam. (This could be a good sign!) We're longing for him to put his faith in Jesus.
  • Pray for Tanji, a former chaplain at NYU from the Bakhti Yoga tradition (Hari Krishna). She's been growing in the experience of and desire for Jesus, after a traumatic experience in her faith tradition, and is also exploring Islam. Pray for her to become solely devoted to Jesus. Pray for me to be sensitive to the Spirit's leading in connecting with her. Hoping she might become a powerful witness to the NYU spiritual life community.
  • Please pray for S, returnee in Iran, who came to faith before she left. Pray for safety online as we do Bible study in John. Smriti, a Nepali world changer, is joining us. Pray for God to connect S with believers in Iran and enable her to safely share with her family and friends in his timing.
  • I have felt led to pray boldly into and for this year to be fruitful (evidence of movement of His fruit) in all the areas (my personal relationship with the Lord, ministry, finances, love life, etc.) of my life. That I and our ISI Colorado Spring’s team would “taste and see the goodness of the Lord”!
  • Please pray for wisdom and unity in bringing about 2-3 bible study groups here in Colorado Springs. Pray that our Christian students would take initiative and ownership to lead these groups, alongside the support of a few of our volunteers.
