Prayer Requests and Prayer Points

Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!

  • I am in need of new staff (ideal number would be 3-4) here in Colorado Springs, to help with reaching more students for Christ. Currently, it is just me on staff. And I’m trying to get things off the ground at 2 new locations/ grounds.
  • Tomoko (returnee in Japan since 1995) sent this request. These are her words ,"I met a nice heart warming Christian and we got engaged. Our wedding will be March 29, 2025. We hope and pray all non believers at our wedding will know Jesus as their Savior. Please pray together."
  • Praise God that over the last year and this semester we have had the blessing of meeting several believers among our itnternational students and scholars! Please pray that our ministry and local churches would be an encouragemetn to them and that nothing would hinder them from further discipleship and witnessing to fellow internationals. May they share their testimony in the special way that only they can.
  • Jesus, you promised that just like the rain and the snow from heaven always waters the earth (and never return without growth that provides seeds for the sower and bread for the hungry)—so the words from your mouth will not return empty. We proclaim this with confidence—that your Word to the international students and scholars (may it be in our mouths!) shall accomplish your purpose and succeed in your mission. We rejoice and pray that our brothers and sisters around the world may proclaim with us, that though our sins were like scarlet, now they are white as snow. Though our sins were crimson, now they are wool. (inspired from Isaiah 55:10-11 and Isaiah 1:18).
  • Posted by Tim Sigman - ISI Director of Prayer Initiatives - Join Julie and I as we pray for the next generation of fruitful Kingdom laborers. AJ (Amarildo) came to us as an international student from Brazil and is now on staff with ISI reaching the nations in the DC area. We got to baptize him at the National Conference. Ingrid Marquis is starting a new ISI ministry at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. She has already led three international students to faith in Christ. Tim is coaching AJ and Ingrid as they raise their final financial support. Pray their full funding comes in by the end of March.
  • Intercede for our director as she is praying about having a bible study (possibly in combination with the series “The Chosen”) – for internationals. Pray this might come together and start soon so that curious students can explore who Jesus is and why he came. Pray for God's leading and direction as he shows another staff member how he wants him to navigate multiple mission fields. Ask for the Spirit's provision to bring new youth and life into the ministry to be discipled by our veterans. In volunteer and staff positions that are so desperately needed.
  • Praise God for the ceasefire in Israel-Hamas! I don't even know how to pray for the situation, but let's together ask God to somehow work for his glory. To heal and restore a weary people and land that is divided. May all praise his name and know him as Lord! Our Prince of Peace and Emmanuel.
  • Pray for Y., living in Shanghai that the Lord would stir her heart to seek Him wholeheartedly after turning in fear and being out of touch with me for a couple years. She recently reconnected and we are talking about perhaps seeing each other at the National Conference in Japan as she could travel there freely. Pray that would happen if that is the Lord's will and that He would use our times before and during that to stir her heart to genuine faith in Jesus.
  • 1. Relationship with God: Deeper intimacy with Him. Keep Him to always be my first love and primacy obsession. 2. My Mom’s health: My mom’s miraculous recovery from her chronic pain-depression. Currently she sometimes has suicidal thoughts, which makes my heart heavy. 3. DMin Studies: More energy and wisdom to study my Doctor of Ministry program well, hoping it will be very helpful for my campus ministry. 4. Volunteer Needs: More mature core families and Christian students to commit into my campus ministry. 5. Soul Mate: A brother with the same vision to be my life-long soul mate, Lord willing. Otherwise, increasing contentment in singleness.
  • Continue praying for Mohammed and his girlfriend, Erynn, that God would work in their hearts that they would become true seekers, not just curious and questioning. Pray for a powerful work of the Spirit in them. Pray that Jessie, all our volunteers who interact with them and myself would be given the right words and word pictures to share with them to cause them to seek more. Lord, only You can raise the dead and bring new life to them!!
  • "Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled... You who answer prayer, to you all people come...You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth..." Ps 65:1-3, 5
  • Pray for Hossein. He comes from a M background. He is really intelligent and is seeking. The Lord has put him on the hearts of many of our volunteers to pray very boldly and intentionally for him this semester. Pray that God would reveal Himself to Hossein through signs, visions, dreams, His Word, His people, whatever means He so chooses! Pray for Hosseins salvation!
  • Pray for our Big Howdy Welcome Party at Lamar University this Saturday from 2-4p. Pray that the Lord will draw the new students there that He desires and that He will open their hearts to Himself and those they'll meet. Pray for the believers that will be there to be filled with the Spirit and to make divine, lasting connections for God's glory! May He be exalted in all the details!
  • Please pray for many students to attend our weekly Friday Bible study in Cincinnati that meets each Friday night and that God would be moving through his word to open the eyes of the unbelievers in our group. Please pray dandelia, Vanessa, Minh, Minha, Chris ( Vietnamese, Indonesia, Korea, ) would come to Christ and two girls from Brazil pray that god would help me (Julie) be hold to share the Bible with them. They live with us. Beka and Nicoly. Pray for health of my family . Pray for my dad’s cancer and health and my mom and husband who also are facing possible cancer. Thank you so much
  • Please be praying for the prayer team at ISI, KC. When we do live Zoom prayer times and set up prayer walks, few come. Sometimes the gap can be a little discouraging even as I am so grateful for the faithful that do and are able to (and for all those who are joining in their own timesa and ways). Ask God to give me wisdom as our prayer coordiantor on how to best faciliate and enable all of us to intercede and praise strongly together. And for a spirit of passion to sweep through our members that realize the power, blessing, and priviledge of prayer. Please intercede for me to keep my eyes on God and not on the opinions of people either. May his vision of our prayer ministry reign and not what I imagine - contentment, humility, and also a dreaming, listening heart for his plans.
