Prayer Requests and Prayer Points
Here are prayer requests and prayer prompts to help you with your prayer. You may want to bookmark this page so when you do pray, you can reach it easily. Also, please share ISM related prayer requests by clicking “add prayer request.” All prayers are screened by the prayer team so it won’t show immediately but hopefully it will show less than a couple of hours after your submission. Also, let people know you are praying for them by clicking on the “Pray” button. Thanks all!
Public Prayer: Lord, just like Samuel did in 1 Samuel 3, we long to hear your voice. May we ask with our whole heart: “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening." Jesus, is there any word you have for ISI staff or volunteers? Any verses or images for them—or the ministry as a whole? For the prayer team? Please reveal those to us so we may share them with those who are in need of your Word. Help us to take time to worship you as your Spirit calls us. May we lead in our praise on the battlefield just like the Israelites did when they sent their singers to the front of the lines in 2 Chronicles 20. You are the Lord our banner, Yahweh Nissi.
Lindsay | 2 years | Prayed 31 time(s)We love you, Lord, our strength! You, Lord, are our rock, our fortress and our deliverer; You are the One we take refuge in, our shield and our salvation. We are calling to you, Lord, who is worthy of praise, and we will receive the help we need in all our needs and struggles. Lord, you hear us at ISI, how much we need Your help, Your wisdom; we need new staff and new volunteers, new support - all these things that sometimes seem impossible or too much to handle, but You, Lord, are the One who will reach down from on high and rescue us, providing everything we need! You will keep our lamps burning, no matter how old and weak or confused we are, and You will be our deliverer, accomplishing Your purpose in us and through us. For You Lord, Your way is perfect and Your Word is flawless and You shield ALL those who take refuge in YOU! We rest in You! (taken & paraphrased from Ps. 18) And YOU will be glorified! For from You, through You and for You are all things!! To You be the honor and glory forever!! Amen!
Anne | 2 years | Prayed 31 time(s)Praise that A from France and Gary Classen are connected now as A. will be arriving as a transfer student to Santa Clara U., in CA. Anne | 2 years | Prayed 30 time(s)Pray for our Volunteer Appreciation & Training Event next Sat., Aug. 19th that God would use it to really light a fire in their hearts for this work, that they would see the need and be willing to make ministering in this capacity a top priority in their lives. Pray also that some would step up to take responsibility for certain areas as we make the transition of "greying staff". Lord, help us all to think about ministry in different ways that meet current needs with the people we have as well as to attract new people!
Anne | 2 years | Prayed 27 time(s)Thank you, Lord, for this prayer initiative! For the vision and preparation that was put into this determination & plan for all of us to stop at the beginning of our school years and acknowledge our full dependence on YOU! You are the One who called each of us, saving us from the dominion of darkness and translating us into the kingdom of your marvelous light! You are the One who called each of us to this ministry so we look to You to equip us and empower us. You are the only One who can save and so we ask you to work in a powerful way through our prayers and through us all to bring many who are lost into Your kingdom. Only You can do this! Roy | 2 years | Prayed 24 time(s)That the Chinese Universities would start sending visiting scholars. I have been told most will go to UK and Canada. Pray that the Lord would bring the scholars who would be open to the Word. I am specifically asking that for Austin ... but also for those universities that have ministries who can reach out and befriend them, sharing the gospel.
Dennis | 2 years | Prayed 23 time(s)Public Prayer: Please lift up all the ISI prayer teams. May God’s Spirit within us lead us to intercede according to his will and his heart and invite his presence in all things. May we be faithful to listen for God’s voice with intercessions and opportunities to be a blessing—especially with this week of united prayer August 6-13th and 40 Days of Prayer for many to come. We also lift up this personalized scripture prayer: But thanks be to you, God, who in yourself, Christ, always lead us ISI staff and volunteers in triumphal procession, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of you. For we are your aroma, Christ to God, among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one the fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things, Lord? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of your word, God, but as people of sincerity, as commissioned by yourself, in your sight we speak in you, Christ (from 2 Corinthians 2:14-17).
Lindsay | 2 years | Prayed 23 time(s)Praise that after a very stressful day for Tim yesterday over no internet connection, our provider said the modem is broken and they'll give us a better one at no extra charge. Praise that for some reason my computer worked for our Zoom worship and prayer time last night. Pray for the rest of the week of 24/7 Prayer to go smoothly and for Tim to have strength and all he needs to finish leading well. Pray that God will bring many answers to prayer as He has done in the past during 24/7 and 40 Days of Prayer (which starts for many of us next week). May we have many reasons to praise God!
Julie | 2 years | Prayed 22 time(s)For a Bible study to learn what God says about the gender discussion that 2 of our former students’ children are being exposed to in school. X (China) & N (Sri Lanka) are greatly concerned, and want to be equipped to answer their questions and teach them what is right. Pray for grace and truth to be proclaimed and for the gospel to shed light on this issue for them. Pray that they will want to know Christ because of it.
Anne | 2 years | Prayed 21 time(s)From Tim Sigman - The Revival Under King Hezakiah 2Chron. 29:5-6 He said to them, “Hear me, Levites. Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove everything impure from the holy place. 6 For our ancestors were unfaithful and did what is evil in the sight of the Lord our God. They abandoned him, turned their faces away from the Lord’s dwelling place, and turned their backs on him... 10 It is in my heart now to make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel so that his burning anger may turn away from us. 11 My sons, don’t be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to serve him, and to be his ministers and burners of incense.”... 18 Then they went inside to King Hezekiah and said, “We have cleansed the whole temple of the Lord, the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the table for the rows of the Bread of the Presence and all its utensils. 19 We have set up and consecrated all the utensils that King Ahaz rejected during his reign when he became unfaithful. They are in front of the altar of the Lord.”... 25 Hezekiah stationed the Levites in the Lord’s temple with cymbals, harps, and lyres according to the command of David, Gad the king’s seer, and the prophet Nathan. For the command was from the Lord through his prophets. 26 The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. 27 Then Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be offered on the altar. When the burnt offerings began, the song of the Lord and the trumpets began, accompanied by the instruments of King David of Israel. 28 The whole assembly was worshiping, singing the song, and blowing the trumpets—all this continued until the burnt offering was completed.... 7 Then Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be offered on the altar. When the burnt offerings began, the song of the Lord and the trumpets began, accompanied by the instruments of King David of Israel. 28 The whole assembly was worshiping, singing the song, and blowing the trumpets—all this continued until the burnt offering was completed.... So the service of the Lord’s temple was established. 36 Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over how God had prepared the people, for it had come about suddenly... Father we ask you to cleanse the temples of our lives, campuses, cities, our nation and our world. Bring a great cleansing work from your hand through Jesus and let us rejoice how you the true and living God have prepared the people and that it will come suddenly just as it did in Hezekiah's day. We bring to you the incense of our prayers and our lives as a living sacrifice. May songs of revival and renew arise from our hearts. Father bring a great and awesome revival in our day. We ask this in the mighty name and power of Jesus, Amen!
